Camping in an RV is a favorite activity for many families as they get to move from one location to another with ease. RVs are designed differently and yours may be an new or older model. Regardless of this, packing can be quite challenging so here are some tips we have picked up from campers over the years.
You need to line your cabinets with rubber mats so as to prevent items from sliding around during travel. You can add shelf inserts so as to utilize the full height and eliminate stacking. Frequently used items need to be stored in easy to reach areas. Finally, purchase plastic drawer units to help you organize and optimize storage.
When you begin camping and RVing, you need to utilize all areas effectively. You can line your inner doors with racks and nets. You can hang plastic trash bags; store your magazines, shoes, and slippers around inner door areas.
In the kitchen area, use a crock to store your large cooking utensils. This eliminates the need of cramming them in limited drawer space. Use knife magnets to store your knives and small containers for your refrigerator. Purchase stackable cups and glasses therefore saving space. Kitchen utensils such as spatulas, cutting board and whisks can be hung using suction cups.
General RV Area
Purchase organizers and store items like your smartphone, music player and tablet at the back of the RV passenger seats. For cleaning supplies, you can mount them on the ceiling of the RV with brackets. Around the bedside area, you can save more space by using a bedside caddy. This will enable you to store your makeup, novels and smart devices.
You can also install sets of drawers in the closet and place the clothes in them. For your medicine cabinets, you can use Velcro, hooks and containers to organize the medicine, the toothbrush, and the toothpaste.
You will find your own way of organizing but these are just a few suggestions to get you started.
